The Honey Grove Chamber of Commerce hosts several community wide events each year. In addition, the Chamber works with other organizations in the area to sponsor events and activities that enhance the quality of life in Honey Grove and the surrounding community. The Chamber of Commerce holds its regular meetings on the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the Hall-Voyer/Chamber offices, located at 540 N. 6th Street.

FEBRUARY 7, 2011 CHAMBER MIXER AT ESCONDIDO MEXICAN RESTAURANT

The Chamber of Commerce will host a membership mixer at Escondido Mexican Restaurant on the square in downtown Honey Grove. We will hold our regular meeting at 5:30, then at 6:00 p.m. we will move into the dining room for the mixer. The event is open to all chamber members and anyone who is interested in becoming a chamber members. Members, if you have not yet paid your 2011 dues, you may do it at the mixer. Come join the fun and enjoy the great food!

MARCH 26, 2011 ANNUAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BANQUET

The Honey Grove Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet will be held March 26, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Honey Grove Civic Center located at 600 N. Sixth Street. Join us for a fabulous evening of fine food and great entertainment. We will recognize special citizens and volunteers, including the Business of the Year and the Citizen of the Year, as well as take a look back at the 2010 Chamber year. The dress for our "A Step Back in Time" evening is business casual, after five, or however you are comfortable. There will be a silent auction and door prizes will be given away throughout the evening. Tickets are on sale now for $25.00 per person. (Children 6-12/$15.00) Corporate sponsorships are available. You may also purchase tickets directly from the Chamber office, at Patriot Bank, the City Hall or the Bertha Voyer Memorial Library. Ticket deadline is March 19, 2011.

APRIL 16, 2011 EASTER EGG HUNT

2:00 p.m. Davy Crockett Park on Market Street in Honey Grove. Kids of all ages welcome.

JUNE 3&4 HWY 82/287 CORRIDOR YARD SALE

350 miles of yard sales from Texarkana to Seymour. Join your friends and neighbors as they prowl through treasures for a two day yard sale extravaganza. Watch for more information about sales, etc.

JULY 4th FIREWORKS SHOW AND CELEBRATION

JULY 16th CHRISTMAS IN JULY

The Chamber of Commerce will host a fund raiser at the civic center to raise money for our "Light up the Square" project. The goal is to raise enough funds to outline every building on our downtown square with lights during the Christmas Season. The estimated cost is $4000.00. We need the help of our citizens and friends to accomplish this goal. We will have a fish fry, silent auction and live entertainment. Come out and enjoy an evening of fun and great food and help us make downtown Honey Grove the brightest spot in Fannin County during the Christmas Season.

AUGUST 27th BUGTUSSLE TREK

Come to the square in Honey Grove to see some of the finest vintage vehicles in the country. This annual event is celebrating 43 years of taking the "Trek" so come out enjoy the show.

SEPTEMBER 6th REGULAR MEETING CHANGE DUE TO LABOR DAY

OCTOBER 1st DAVY CROCKETT FESTIVAL

Fun for kids of all ages. Activities begin with a pancake breakfast at City Hall from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Donations accepted at the door. Enjoy a great breakfast, then come out to the square where you will find lots of things to do. Don't miss the cake walk, children's corner, antique cars and tractors. Lots of vendors in our civic center and around the square. There's a full day of fun for everyone! Come to Honey Grove and celebrate the kick-off to the Christmas Season at our annual bazaar in the Civic Center. Stay all day and enjoy the parade at 5:30, then the official Christmas Tree Lighting. Winners of the Deck the Square contest will be named along with parade winners.
